More than one hundred and fifty years ago, Alexis Cayer settled on virgin land surrounded by mountains and valleys, the future site of Portneuf, which he would come to help build. In passing down his vision and know-how, he became patriarch to a family of landscapers, builders, farmers, and finally, cheesemakers.

Today, Quebec is recognized across the country for the quality of its fine cheeses. Founded on tradition and family values, La Maison Alexis de Portneuf pays tribute to dedicated artisans.
