Le Bonaparte Mini Croquettes


  • 1 Alexis de Portneuf Le Bonaparte cheese
  • 300 g commercial breadcrumbs
  • 120 g sesame seeds
  • 5 eggs
  • 120 mL canola oil
  • Chutney to taste


  1. Cut the Alexis de Portneuf Le Bonaparte cheese into 1'' x 1'' cubes.
  2. Mix breadcrumbs and sesame seeds.
  3. In a bowl, lightly beat eggs with a fork; dip the cheese cubes in the eggs, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  4. In a nonstick frying pan, heat oil over medium heat and brown the cheese cubes for about 1 minute on each side. (Do not overcook because the sesame seeds burn easily and the cheese will melt.)
  5. Serve immediately as an appetizer with your favourite chutney as a dip.
