Country Style Sandwich with Vacherin cheese


  • 2 slices Vacherin cheese
  • 1 square loaf ciabatta bread, cut in two
  • Butter
  • 1 tsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 50 g cooked chicken
  • Pinch of chopped chives
  • 2 tsp finely diced celery


The Extras

  • Pinch of curry powder
  • Blanched almonds
  • Mushrooms, cooked and sliced


Butter the outside of the bread slices.

Mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper; spread the mix on the inside of the bread slices and top with the cheese.

Add the chicken, the chives, the celery, and the extras if desired, to one of the slices.

Close the sandwich.

Place the sandwich inside the panini press for 4 minutes or in a skillet at medium-low heat for 4 minutes on each side or until the cheese starts to melt.
