L’Étoile de Saint-Raymond cheese, Prosciutto and Apple Crostini with Basil


  • 12 slices baguette, about 1/4-inch (5 mm) thick
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
  • 8 oz (250 g) L’Étoile de Saint-Raymond cheese, sliced
  • 12 thin slices Granny Smith apple
  • 4 slices prosciutto, cut into 3 pieces each
  • 12 small leaves fresh basil 


Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Brush each baguette slice with olive oil; arrange in single layer on parchment paper–lined baking sheet. Bake, turning once, for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly golden and toasted.

Top each baguette toast with slice of cheese, slice of apple, piece of prosciutto and basil leaf.

Tip: Substitute pear, peach or plum slices for apple slices if desired.
