Brie d'Alexis
Double cream Brie with a supple, melting body and fresh-nut aroma.
Ingredients
- 45 g sliced Alexis de Portneuf Brie d’Alexis cheese
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) butter, room temperature
- Pinch of ground cinnamon
- 2 slices white sandwich bread
- 1 tbsp. (15 mL) caramel spread
- ½ Anjou pear, not too ripe, core removed, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp. (30 mL) miniature marshmallows
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a small bowl, mix butter and cinnamon.
- Butter bread slices. Spread caramel on one of the slices of bread, and arrange pear, Brie d’Alexis cheese and marshmallows evenly. Top with the second slice of bread.
- Preheat a large non-stick pan to medium-low. Cook grilled cheese 2 to 3 minutes to finish melting the cheese.
