Brise du Matin Baked Brie with Maple, Fresh Herbs, and Pecans

Ingredients

  • 1 (125 g) Alexis de Portneuf Brise du Matin Brie cheese 
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) maple syrup, preferably dark
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) fresh rosemary, very finely chopped
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) fresh oregano, very finely chopped
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) fresh thyme, very finely chopped
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) fresh chives, very finely chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, very finely chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) pecans, coarsely chopped
     

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Place the maple syrup in a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients, except for the Brie cheese. Mix well.
  3. Put the Alexis de Portneuf Brise du Matin Brie cheese in a baking dish and spread the mixture over the top.
  4. Bake for about 25 minutes, until the center is soft and melted.
  5. Serve with crackers or toasted bread.
