Oregon style sandwich with Cantonnier cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Cantonnier cheese
  • 2 slices multigrain bread
  • Butter
  • Mayonnaise
  • 2 slices of turkey
  • 3 slices of pear


THE EXTRAS

  • Dried cranberries
  • Blanched almonds

Directions

  1. Butter the outside of the bread slices.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on the inside of the bread slices and top with the cheese.
  3. Add the turkey, the pear, and the extras if desired, to one of the slices.
  4. Close the sandwich.
  5. Place the sandwich inside the panini press for 4 minutes or in a skillet over medium-low heat for 4 minutes on each side or until the cheese starts to melt.
